Rare Earths Weekly Roundup --- Pr-Np prices move upwards

BEIJING (Metal-Pages) 03-Jul-09. This week prices for praseodymium/neodymium oxide moved further up due to the relatively tight domestic availability, as some suppliers have been reluctant to sell their rare earth oxide.

Smelters are now expecting prices for praseodymium/neodymium metal to head north again in line with the rise in the price of the raw material. However, the market has continued to see a lack of consumer buying, which is putting the brakes on any price increases.

Elsewhere, prices for europium oxide have appeared to firm up recently, and most suppliers have nudged their prices upwards, although the market has been generally steady.
