Chinese minor metals weekly roundup – Magnesium still inactive, tungsten stable, antimony weaker

BEIJING (Metal-Pages) 20-Nov-09.  The magnesium metal market has remained pretty quiet this week, owing to insipid market demand, although the heavy snow in many provinces has blocked purchases of the material and so the availability seems to be limited.

Miners keep holding tungsten concentrates and are unwilling to sell, expecting higher prices. Market participants think that the supply shortage of tungsten concentrates might push the tungsten market up slightly in the coming weeks.
