China has a responsibility as the main global producer to be transparent about its policy on rare earths and to allay fears that it is denying supply to the rest of the world, according to leading industry analyst Dudley Kingsnorth, executive director of Industrial Minerals Company of Australia (IMCOA). If it does not, it risks the industry moving away from it as a supplier over the years to come.
